We took a semester of ASL in college, but have forgotten it. The problem is not having anyone to talk to in ASL – its definitely a use it or lose it skill. But, I had never considered using ASL to communicate with others in the system, I wonder how well that would work? Maybe being able to make a quick sign or two to ourselves would be beneficial, as there are times we kind of go into language lock down. Worth a ponder, that.
