One year ago today, I announced the cafe was a fully operational Death Star and welcomed the public onto the platform. While we haven’t blown up any planets yet, the Rebels haven’t blown up this Death Star, so I think we’re doing pretty well. 😉
Today also marks the 200th blog post of any type here. While the T-E-C blog pre-dates the cafe, I still think that’s a cool milestone, especially since 48 of those blog postings were made by other cafe members over the last year. That others have found this platform as a means of self-expression is the best gift of all.
We’re also about to hit another milestone with the Wiki & FAQ – we’re at 98 published articles & answers. #100 is coming any day now! @braidid did most of that writing, and I can’t thank them enough for all that hard work. We also had a new Wiki author join us recently – erikajeankruger!
Not all parts of the site are aging like fine wine, and some pruning may need to happen at some point – the forums have largely been made obsolete by Discord, for example, but not every piece of jello we threw at the wall was going to stick. 😉
Going forward into 2024, I’m hoping to see the site continue to grow at a gentle pace. Thank you all for being part of year one.
