It actually happened!

Alrighty then, the post to Facebook went out. Our cover is blown! Wait, you’ve known Janet for years and had no idea? Well, a few hints:

If there has been a switch, some of us tend to get really, really quiet. It covers the fact that we may not know exactly what’s going on. It’s also the easiest way to hide that we aren’t Janet – a closed mouth gathers no foot.

The easiest way to tell who is out is often our music choices. I listen to Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Ani DiFranco, Lana Del Rey, etc. Saoirse is a total Metal head, but also listens to weird stuff. Janet is mainly a Hard/Classic Rock type person, although she also dabbles in Metal. Long instrumentals are kind of FW’s thing, along with some weird stuff. So yeah, it isn’t totally clear cut, we listen to each others stuff, but you aren’t going to hear Saoirse listening to much of my music and vice versa. And weird stuff? You’ll know when you hear it. I swear, they must look for stuff and say “Oh, great, Buddhist monks chanting to the sound of vacuum cleaners, garbage disposals, and the data from twin star XXY vocalized by a Hungarian computer program!” Yeah, only slightly kidding.

I’m bummed I didn’t get to be out more this weekend, I really wanted to watch my new Anime discs. (Boogiepop, my hero!) But, I’ve gotten to watch full seasons of both the Winx Saga and Warrior Nun on Netflix recently, so I suppose it’s OK.

Um, so, uh, me. Well, 6 months ago we spent two weeks in a hotel, in a system “off-site summit” if you will, and one of the things that came out of it was an introduction document for our new therapist, telling her who is who. I’m going to be super lazy, and cut and paste some stuff from my section. 🙂 Why do homework you don’t have to? My added comments to the original text are in curly brackets.

So, who am I? I’m Sharon, duh! OK, my entry is done. No? Darn.

If I’m near FW, I’m usually an older teenager (17ish). If I’m near the kids, I’m usually a younger teenager (13ish). I was originally 13 all the time, but FW has a weird influence on me lately. I’m older me right now because FW is kind of hanging in the background.

I’m the system Mom. I joined the system when the body was 9 and took over from FW as the primary caretaker of the kiddos. As a 13-year-old, I was older than everyone in the system when I first arrived – well, everyone but FW. I just happened to stay at that age, because, well, reasons.

I hadn’t been out much lately, but recent events brought me closer to the front. The concussion was one event. The other was {{{{{ Edited out of this blog post is what it was, a girl has to have some privacy.. }}}}}

I deal with trauma related issues a lot. Sometimes things bleed over from the kids into me. If things are really bad, stuff bleeds over from the kids into other members of the system, which has been happening lately. I try to stop that from happening. I comfort the kids and buy the occasional stuffed animal or treat. OK, so I’ve done that a lot, and we have more stuffies than I know what to do with! But it’s a big deal to the kids.

I’m not going to let entries be written for the kids, to protect them. There are three of them – {{{{{ Names Edited Out }}}}}}. That’s all you need to know on that topic, other than I’m fiercely protective of them.

On the lighter side, I really want to dye our hair blue, but my vote always gets overruled. Some people are just no fun, but I respect our little democracy. {{{{{ Yes, I’m finally going to get to do this! }}}}}}

I’m really into music, mostly female singer/songwriters and folk. I was a band geek growing up. I wanted to play the flute, but my parents already owned a clarinet because that’s what my older brother had played, so that’s what I played instead.

Religion wise I’m basically a solitary Wiccan practitioner, although I spent many years investigating liberal Judaism and once thought about studying to become a rabbi. I went to a state recognized online Wiccan seminary for a year in 2017 but decided not to continue my studies. I hate to admit it, but you can’t really make a living as a pagan priestess, and we need to pay bills. I’m happy we took a year off work so I could do my thing, though. And, I wasn’t the only one interested in the experience, I was just the primary person who took the classes. So, no, I don’t get to dye our hair, but I have gotten to do some good stuff.

Um, I’m primarily attracted to men, but am technically bi. I have a pretty decent Anime collection. And, well, I guess my entry is finally written!

{{{{{{{ And that’s it folks! It’s way past bedtime. }}}}}}}
