So, there are a couple of folks who haven’t voted yet, but the way our teams / council seats are set up, their vote won’t change the outcome of the election. Oh sure, having a stronger mandate would be nice, but here’s the skinny.
Meet the new council, same as the old council, with one little unexpected difference. I’m chairperson now. And it didn’t go down the way I thought it would. I decided to support Saoirse, since Saoirse has been doing most of the “primary fronter” responsibilities this past year. Saoirse voted for me for chairperson. I know, old news. But I didn’t vote for myself for chairperson, I voted for Wanderer, ’cause I’m not sure I’m ready for this. BUT, Wanderer voted for me. So, I didn’t vote for myself, and yet I won.
Huh. Alrighty then. My platform was simple. Self acceptance, self love, self care. Stuff even I’m bad at, but that I think we need to prioritize in the coming year. I don’t have any great plans to manifest fate or whatever, I just want us to take better care of ourselves. That’s the agenda I’m pushing.
And yes, we’ve posted a heck of a lot in the past couple of days. It’s a busy time of year. We usually don’t post this often, but new “school years” and election time are kind of a big deal. I think we’ve talked enough for now, though, so I return you to your regularly scheduled internet content:
